Tis the season to be jolly!

Only a handful more Saturdays until Christmas Eve is upon us. If you haven't thought about it much or if you are simply in denial that it's that time of year again then you are not alone. But If you're like me at all you're already thinking about the many ways to style your home and lovely tree this Christmas.
While I've been daydreaming about this, I had the idea that maybe this year instead of buying a real tree you and I can opt for something a little more affordable, eco friendly and creative. There is no need to spend your pennies on a real tree if you and the family can make one together instead. After all isn't it the handmade things that we will remember the most and the fun memories we created while doing them?
I've done the hard searching for you and have found 5 affordable and stylish DIY christmas trees all you need is a little imagination, a festive spirit, and a pine scented candle of course.

How simply stunning is this wall chart of a tree? If you want to be a little more festive with this one you can tape your christmas lights onto the back of the poster and let the lights shine through the front for an even more stunning appearance.

The next option makes me think that all christmas trees should be this creative and unique. go out on a walk, pick up a bundle of sticks and screw them together. done and dusted, you've made yourself a one of a kind tree and it can be fun for the whole family to do together.

Just when I thought this whole DIY christmas tree thing couldn't get even more beautiful yet simple and affordable. Just a slight touch of rustic combined with a soft pallet and a few cute decorations. this one speaks for itself.

I love how resourceful this idea is, I know it's not for everyone but you have to admit it's pretty clever. So simple and fun, this will only take you a few mins to get it all sorted and looking fresh for santa.

How good is reclaimed pallet wood? over the last several years we've been getting quite creative with using pallets in our homes from bed bases, shelves to vertical plant hanging walls these are so great to keep around incase something like a last minute christmas tree is needed.

I hope one or more of these ideas helped you get inspired to make this christmas extra special with a beautiful handcrafted tree that will be remembered for a lifetime.
And don't forget to load up the underneath of whichever Christmas tree you choose with some lovely homewares and bed linen from the lovely folks here at Sheets on the Line.
