What is the difference between a king size bed and a Super King size bed?

· ·

Super-King Bed Linen

Today we hope to settle one of our most asked questions both in store and online….

The difference between these two beds is the just the physical dimensions of the mattress. Until recently in Australia, the King size bed was indeed the ‘King’ but the new contender is Super-King which is now looked to as the largest standardised bed size in the land. The only problem is that Super-King can be a bit hard to find bed linen for. This is because not all manufacturer’s weaving looms can make fabric wide enough to suit the Super-King’s dimensions.

Here at Sheets on the Line we can offer most of our beautiful ranges in Super-King including our ‘Pure Linen’, ‘Premium’ boutique hotel range and our ever popular organic cotton ‘Classic Luxe’ range. Available in bed sheet sets, quilt + duvet cover sets and bed skirts.

King Dimensions
A standard king size mattress will measure at 183cm (wide) x 203cm (long)
